| Re: Songs on each album you really dislike ? Joker, Yes I think Dave Gilmour is a little too under rated. As you can probably tell this is my first time here, and I was very surprised (and a bit disappointed) to see how much people criticise the two post Waters albums. Anyway, enough of the politics! With regards to your question on pre-DOSTM albums, I honestly don't put any of them in the "Pink Floyd" box as far as my musical taste goes. Piper is kinda cool, in it's own little way, but it's not a Pink Floyd album as I know Pink Floyd. Maybe only one or two songs show the qualities of the 'moving' Pink Floyd that I enjoy (eg, The Narrow Way, or Green is the Colour), but that's about it. I have a huge amount of respect for all of the guys from Pink Floyd. As a song writer I have no idea how Mr Waters Expresses emotions in such a roundabout way, and no idea how Gilmour expresses emotions with so very few painfully strung out notes. I don't think anyone will ever match this band.

| Re: Songs on each album you really dislike ? Driven, I see your point. You will never ever hear any critical word about Dave (oh, sorry, Mr Gilmour  from me, moreover, The Division Bell is deff. one of my most-played PF albums. I love every note on it, and MLoR has at least three smashing songs on it. Piper - yes, it's another story and I think we should discuss it within another thread.

| Re: Songs on each album you really dislike ? While I embrace the concept of everyone having their own opinion, and I value that opinion, I feel there is one point being missed and I'll deliver my opinion on that point. PF's albums are more then just a selection of single songs, they are compositions. While I will agree that some tracks are out in left field, like 'Seamus,' to overlook them is to miss the value of the album as a single piece of artistic genius. It is safe to say that 95% of the time I do not skip tracks. The one exception to this, and I'm sorry Gimore fans, is that I never particualry warmed up to Division Bell. Now I know some are screaming bloody murder at their monitors right now, but its just my simple opinion. My joy comes from having time, intoxicated or not, to hear the complete beautiful work. I would recommend to all of you who take long road trips, as I often do, to take the scenic route and listen to 'Atom Heart Mother.' Being stoned while doing so can also help enhance this experience. However... having said this I do not condone those who become obliterated and operate machinery. Please know your limits enough to respect the lives of other drivers. Of course it goes without saying that this is another reason to take the less traveled scenic route. |

| Re: Songs on each album you really dislike ? I like just about all the Pink Floyd I've heard which is Piper, Saucerful of Secrets, Meddle, Atom Heart Mother, DSTOM, WYWH, Animals, and The Wall. The only few songs that I don't like too much are Bring the Boys Back Home, and Vera Lynn. I still think these songs are good and litsen to them for the comceptual purposes and I would never skip a Pink Floyd track unless I was just listening to one or two favorites or trying to learn a song. And who could a Floyd fan not like Corporal Clegg it probably one of ym favorite track byt them. |

| Re: Songs on each album you really dislike ? Corporal Clegg may be one of your favorites, but not necessarily everyone else's favorites. It is an unproven fact that most people have different tastes and everyone has their own opinion on what is good and what is bad music. |

| Re: Songs on each album you really dislike ? There are very few floyd songs that I dislike. There are some floyd songs that are mellow, slow, and bore me to death like Set the controls for the heart of the sun. And there are some intrumentals that are long and get a bit dull to listen to. Although I know a lot of people like careful with that axe, Eugene I'm not all that crazy for it, I'm not saying I dislike it I am just saying most people like it a lot for that myself. Seamus is not that bad, I can think of a lot of floyd songs not as good as Seamus. Money is an awesome song, the guitar solo is one of my favorites. I could go on and on all day but I think I'll just stop now. By the way, don't you tink abitw pt2 is a bit overated, I mean it's alright but its certainly not one of the great floyd songs.

| Re: Songs on each album you really dislike ? I can appreciate all of the stages the Floyd has gone through. Though, I (like many) prefer their work from the seventies above all. However, I always skip these three songs whenever I listen to their respective albums: -Spanish Piece -Several Species... -Seamus Other than those, I listen to everything they ever released. |

| Re: Songs on each album you really dislike ? I've never really liked Another Brick In The Wall (Part 2) either. Also, Money has been getting on my nerves a little lately. It's probably my least favorite song on Dark Side. That and On The Run. |

| Re: Songs on each album you really dislike ? ^ Never did like Money too much either. Doesnt fit in with the album, "poems everyone". Seamus is well, how do I say this nicely? Brutal? Okay.. Another song never was a fan of is THE TRIAL, oh man, what were they thinking? Other than that, Floyd on.
