music is cheaper across seas in general anyway.

it's £21 here in a little known music chain called HMV

about 30 dollars your price..ish.

how much would The Wall cost here????

I can't see the point in Pink Floyd releasing SACDs of the back catalogue - how about some rare/unreleased material like the BBC sessions, Moonhead and plenty of live stuff in the vein of Led Zeppelin's last two releases?
It's this money for old rope attitude that keeps me buying bootlegs

You're a fool if you buy bootlegs. You can download them for free without lining the pockets of greedy people who don't have anything to do with Pink Floyd.

SACD is the highest-quality consumer audio format yet devised. I will continue to pay money to purchase the closest thing to the master tapes of my favourite albums that's available.

This happens to be my 2000th post and the 229998th on the APFFN.

Re: Animals on SACD?

Nick says that Wish You Were Here on SACD is "definitely happening." He is also not against the possibility of completely overhauling Animals with a brand new stereo mix (which may be labelled "Animals Mk II" to avoid stepping on any purists' toes). The DVD anthology of early Floyd videos is also getting some work as soon as Nick's promotional tour ends.
