Dark Side Live recording

I've been a Floyd fan for a while and I recently came across a bootleg version of Dark Side of the Moon live in 1972 before they ever went to the studio. I checked in the book A Saucerful of Secrets and it sais they performed the album a few times before they ever went in the studio so tehy could find out which parts they liked and didn't. Anyway, the concert is AMAZING, the solo on Time is breathtaking. The version of on the run is totally different from the studio with some outsatnding rythms from Gilmour. I'm sure some of have heard this ( some of you guys seem to know a little too much about Floyd ) but to all who haven't, try and get ahold of this recording.

I have the first ever live preformance of Darkside. It ends at Money due to technical difficulties.

Is the Cd happened to be called Pre-historic Pink Floyd?
If so I have the same one.

2 shows '72 rainbow theatre and '72...dahhh I wanna say the Dome theatre I might be wrong. The Dome show ends on money, money sounds a little skewed in that show btw.

I'll get back to you when I check the cd case in the AM, it's in the shed I dun wanna dig it out now.

I had no idea this was on cd. The version I have continues after money to the end. I still can't get over 'on the run' and 'time'. The rest is good but too special.

I have it! Can you help me with tracklist? I have it as one-piece on a CD. CD player indicates that it is only one track, 43 minutes and 5 seconds. I need tracklist with time of the songs (if the tracklist exists, this is unnoficial release).

Yeah, i just have it loaded on my ipod as a 43 minute song but i pretty much know when all of the songs start and end. I wouldn't know how to cut it into different songs but I kind of like as one long track.

Re: Dark Side Live recording

AHA! Found it. I recently downloaded this '72 concert in London of DSotM and it finishes at Money. This must be it. Those of you who have it, what do you think of the 'death' sequence (that came to be Great Gig)? Listening to it creeps me out a bit. There is this funeral dirge Rick plays on his farf, while a vicar rambles a sermon for the deceased. Then this sound of a hen starts to override the preacher until they combine as one voice, the vicar's words becomming a hen's cackle until the whole things just fades out. It was very evocative, and gives a good indication of where they were heading, as well as a slightly weird harking back to their 'we don't know what the fvck to do next' period. Anyway, I like the concert for all its skeletalness of what became their monsterpiece. Only wish I had the whole recording.

FYI, On The Run sounds like the same version featured on the Classic Albums DVD, where they are discussing not having the synthiA sequence and just jamming out during the 'travel' section.(...thought you'd like to know).
