Maybe he doesn't get money for writing any songs, but since he played on the record he should be getting a small chunk of every copy sold.

I dunno how that works. Roger is the one cashing in on The Wall I'm sure.

Rick (as well as Nick) obviously had royalties for The Wall, as a member of Pink Floyd Music Ltd. In fact he stated that he accepted to leave the band after The Wall basically because they came from the financial disaster of the Norton Warburg so all of them did need that money at that moment.
He and Nick Mason had a smaller slice than Roger and David, that's quite obvious.

I would have to agree with the whole how Rick is a surpurb musician. His contribution to TDB was great, and that is some of my fave floyd material. Wearing the Inside Out, which he sings vocals to, is my fave song off TDB. It is unfortunate that Roger hated him though, cuz I noticed too after WYWH that keyboards drifted towards the back. Funny though, when I first heard Wearing the Inside Out, I thought it was Roger singing. They sound similar to me. haha

I don't like how they decided to announce the arrival of Wright by heaping synth sounds all over the album. It makes it sound kinda weak.

Haha, looks like a whole lot of Mr Waters' plans backfired on him.
