It's a great album. I just wish Syd Barrett was with the Floyd longer, than he was.

I can't get into it either.

Although Astronomy Domine is good, Barrett's stuff just isn't my cup o' tay.

well i really think that barrett is a better singer....& i like his use of his danelectro in parts of the album (correct me if i'm wrong) but i think you should listing to Matilda Mother....that is what got me into the album i think it's because the way syd rhymes so good in the song...my fav lyric in that song is "For all the time spent in that room The doll's house, darkness, old perfume" it just rings in your ear! :n)

Its one of the scarce PF album that dont require you to get prepared /set in mood for listening...i.e. its pure and great music...nothing to really decipher or get into psychobabble...just listen...pure joy.One of the MOST ORIGINAL ALBUM that's not been ripped off too often.Of course you get 2 learn 'bout The I-Ching/Wind In The Willows/Lucifer-the cat etc. Te best part is the artwork done by Syd.
