Re: METALLICA!!!! thread

My favorite Metallica moment was when Hetfield stepped into the pyrotechnics pot and got incinerated.

Actually, I love their cover of "Whiskey In The Jar" on the Garage Album.

Re: METALLICA!!!! thread

I like their version of the Small Hours and Last Caress/Green Hell.
My favorite Metallica album is definitely Ride the Lightning.

Re: METALLICA!!!! thread

They played here in Dublin on Phil Lynott's birthday, the crowd must have called for Whiskey about 15 times, but they still didn't play it. You'd think they would have...

Re: METALLICA!!!! thread

Really. What a great tribute that would have been.

Well they seem to put the wishes of their fans secondary.
Napster, etc.

I see you've got your "James Carville" avatar.

Re: METALLICA!!!! thread

Their Master of Puppets album is a great one, especially the title track, which is one of the greatest metal songs ever, IMO. (Along with Pantera's 'Cemetary Gates'.)

Re: METALLICA!!!! thread

KEA, RTL, MOP and AJ4A are ones of the greatest metal albums ever. The rest is commercial MTV crap. But those 4 albums... they're perfect!

The black album isn't a total waste.

Haha, speaking of Napster, right before they played Seek and Destroy, James did his little "Who here's got Kill 'Em All?" routine, and this guy near me cries out "I got it from Napster!"

Who's James Carville?

Re: METALLICA!!!! thread

Carville (affectionately known as 'Old Serpent Head') is the chief propagandist mouthpiece of the "RATS"** and #1 Clintoon apologist. I think his resemblance to Gollum is remarkable.

Re: METALLICA!!!! thread

I particularly liked the Behind the Music on Metallica. Especially the part where James is going on about "we're going to play louder, we're going to play faster, we want some attention..". Or: "We're just four lucky fans that got together and started playing; this could be you.." I like James.
