I just meant...that if you close your eyes, turn it up really loud, and have a pint of Guinness in your hand, Dave's beautiful voice has an Irish sort of lilt to it. It reminds me of several local Irish bands in upstate New York...where I spend many an evening closing my eyes, listening to the loud music with a Guinness in my hand...

I seem to recall David saying that that was intentional, or subconsciously done, saying something along the lines of "There's a bit of the old Celt in me..."

I'll look up the article if I can and post that part here.

Cheers!

Driven -

It's too bad we're half a world away. I'd like to meet you, put on DSoT's version of CN (loud, of course), and drink a pint or two of Guinness.

Yep I think there would be good times if we could meet up. Sounds like it's not only Floyd that we agree on.

Some Hidden lyrics

Well, I am new to this forum, but very interested in these hidden messages. After listening to the passage many times, I found out the following text parts. [] means that it is probably just an echo effect, () means that I am not sure and (()) means that it is just an idea.

1st voice, 4:19:
((What has happened? What's happening again? It is happening all the time.))
(......?......)
2nd voice, 4:25:
None of these (things will) happen again [will happen again]
(...?...none of these is finished)
one thing, one thing which will bring me here, never, ever again, ever again [, ever again]

Also, I found three hidden messages in Sorrow:
- 4:44: "It's not enough, it's not enough" (easy to understand)
- 4:51: "His step is faltered" (a little difficult)
- 5:08: Well, I don't know! I suppose it is backward, because if you play it backwards it sound a little like "one world" and about 6 syllables. Also, there is an echo of that at 5:06, so the echo is actually backwards, too. However even played backwards, it still sounds backwards, so I really do not know which way to play this part. An even stranger thing is that the singing has a very high pitch added to it.

Has anyone any idea what the lyrics in this hidden part are? It could be very important, since they are probably the last hidden lyrics on the hole CD.

I think the last word of that may be "forever".

Thanks, MCL. No guarantees as to correctness, of course.

Re: Terminal Frost

If by "out there" you mean "in here", then I don't think many from this thread are, at least not anymore.
