help with gnome chords

Don't laugh, but I'm having trouble figuring out the proper chords for "The Gnome."

Both tabs on this site for the song are very very off.

The parts I can't get are the
"Wining, dining, biding his time." part as well as the "And then one day, hooray, another way for gnomes to say, Hooray!" part.

For the "Wining, dining, biding his time." part I've found a few ways to sound decent but I want to know what you guys think. One way is "[G]Win[D]ing, [F]din[C]ing, [F]bid[A7]ing his [D]time." That way seems best to me, but just about every tab I've seen suggests G,D,F,A,F,A,D.

And for the "And then one day, hooray, another way for gnomes to say, Hooray!" part, I've gotten as far as "[G]And then one [C]day - [F]hoo" which sounds right but I swear for the life of me I can't figure out what the rest of that last part is.

Can anyone help me out?
