I'll tell you what's shite, and that's Broken China by Richard Wright.

I'm not saying this just to get a rise out of Floyd Waters nor to upset her, but I have just completed several plays of the CD and found only two or three tracks which don't hurt to listen to.

Needless to say, those tracks haven't got Rick singing very much, if at all. His voice is GOD-AWFULLL!!!

Fumingly Floydian,
Byron

I think I've said this in another thread that is very similar to this one but

WYCLEF'S VERSION IS COMPLETE AND UTTER RUBBISH AND HE'S CRUCIFIED IT!!!

That feels better. Artists should not copy a song if they are not going to be original.

Wycleff does a good cover of Queen's 'Another one bites the dust"!

Hawkwind's version of Intersteller Overdrive is great too.

The Floyd cover has to be Nigel the Hippies cover of "The Gnome"!

Have a Cigar(by the Foo Fighters) would have been better if the guitar solo wasn't at the lowest volume level possible. I mean come on! You get one of the best guitarists ever, and then you turn down his amp! What the hell!

Okay, it doesn't matter if you're Wyclef Jean, the Foo Fighters, or any other band. PLEASE, do not tarnish the amazing Floyd sound. It doesn't matter if you record "Wish You Were Here" two-hundred times, it will NEVER sound near as good as the studio recording. So please bands of today, just leave the Floyd catalouge alone.

Try thinking of some ORIGINAL material

The Foo Fighters verson is fantastic, no it will never surpass Floyd's original but it is aworthy alternative. Speaking of bad covers Scissor Sister's Comfortably Numb cover is terable even though Gilmour said no to it Waters overuled him and said yes.
