Hi all!
I need an info about a poster that I have for more than 15 years behind glass.
It shows the "Pyramides of Gizeh" in blue, I suppose it was taken with a blue filter.
Can anyone tell me, if this poster was a special giveaway with the first release of the dark side album or from "Wish you were here"??? I'm sure that it was from an PF-album, but not from which one...
Does anybody knows more about this very rare poster, which I have never ever seen anywhere else exept at my wall....
Thanks for answers in advance...
migo

The poster was included with the DSOTM gatefold LP when it was originally released, along with a composite poster of the band playing live and 2 stickers, of which, if you haven't noticed them before, are on the suitcase of the Salesman in the desert on the WYWH cover.

The Japanese CD's that were released recently in the scaled down original packaging include all the posters and decals, albeit, in Old Person's eyesight defying scale.

The copy of WYWH comes complete with tiny postcard of "Guy doing handstand in water".

Cheers,

Mark

I was fortunate enough to recently get a vinyl copy of darkside w/ all the goodies still there. my pyramids poster is green if i recall correctly. my WYWH vinyl does not have the "rippleless dive" postcard though . I am trying to collect all the albums on vinyl and am about half way there. unfortunately the ones that are harder to get are the ones i dont have (ie: more, obscured, arnold lane single).

A green poster, you say? Hmmm... that might be something of a rarity. As long as you're not one of those people that insists that C3PO is "silver", then I'd look after that, if I were you... "More" isn't that easy if you're looking for vinyl, but check out www.rockofages.uk.com. They've got some cool stuff, and a weekly sales list.

Cheers,

Mark

Incidentally, I just picked up one of the little Canuck beauties from eBay. The live band poster that comes with it is also marginally different, as it's printed on the vertical, as opposed to the regular horizontal release. No stickers. But you can't have everything.

Bit pissed off about being outbid on the Nick Mason signed DSOTM, but being pissed off is always better than being pissed on

I don't want to hear about your deviancies, thanks.

I bought a vinyl copy of Dark Side a couple weeks ago with both posters and both stickers, and the pyramid poster is green. In the big book, it says that the green poster came with the US version.
