DSOTM Album Performed Live on Stage!

Hey,

Is anyone else going to the Dark Side of the Moon presentation in Toronto next week (Sept. 23)? Not the Australian show, this is by Classic Albums Live. I heard it advertised on the radio.

They recreate the albums live on stage note for note. I've seen a couple of these shows - A Night at the Opera by Queen, and The Wall. They're great. They do it up right. No samples or anything. Everything is done live. The musicians are great too. I'd recommend it.

Just a reminder for those who were thinking about going...

I'm hitting the Classic Albums Live presentation of Dark Side of the Moon this Thursday in Toronto.

They're performing it live on stage - note for note as they say. 12 musicians in total to recreate the album perfectly.

It's $15 at the Phoenix Concert Theatre.

Is it just a cover band? Or are they kinda well-known musicians?

I just went to the Australian one. It was good, but I went there with the wrong expectations. I expected to hear it as if it were the real band, and I was disapointed they copied the album note for note - it sounded to scripted and not enough heart in it. And they did a really crap version of Great Gig. But, if you have nothing better to do, it's worth a look

The Classic Albums Live thing features well known musicians in the Toronto area.

They're the real deal. It's not a cover band thing at all. They don't dress up or act the part.

They just perform the music amazingly!
