I say, blah blah blah is great, then you say, no he sucks.

You idiots have to realize that there are some damn good songwriters now. The only good ones aren't from the 70's. Most of the songs in the 70's sucked anyways.

I think he is a very good lyricist, there are some exceptions when he went for a more poppy approach. But i find most his work in Genesis lyricaly very good.

I agree....the Lamb could be pretentious if it wasn't esoterically about him.

and songs like San Jancinto just take you to another spiritual level...away from the hustle and bustle of Man.

Yeah, I forgot Dylan (how, I'm not sure). I threw Lennon on, though, because he is one of the most influencial lyricists of all time, and that has to get him something, right?
