| Re: Rachel Fury Ahoy! Rachel Fury... *sigh* Saw the live concert at Arrowhead Stadium, in Kansas City, USA. even managed to get in and out with my camera. Then out comes the video, Delicate Sound of Thunder. The concert experience was, in a word, awesome. we were so high up and so far away from the stage that even my zoom lens failed to capture really good images. still, being there with tens and twenties and thirties of thousands of like-minded fans was great. I lost my fiance because of the DSoT video. All i said was, "Damn, she's (Rachel) a hottie." I didn't dwell. I didn't drool. I didn't dream. i just made that casual remark. And my fiance came all manner of unglued. so over the course of the next 7 months, our relationship deteriorated to tatters. LOL... I mean, what chance did I have ever meeting Rachel Fury and pursuing a relationship in or out of view of my fiance? Daffy woman. Good Riddance, i say. Anyway, i was disappointed to see the Pulse line-up didn't include Rachel Fury. But that, too, was an excellent show. |

| Re: Rachel Fury Good one, Cosmo! My wife knows I have a fondness for Rachel. She says if I can get her, then go for it (like Rachel will want anything to do with a middle-aged Nuclear Physicist from upstate NY). Like you, I saw the Momentary Lapse tour (Foxboro Stadium, Boston). Like you, I was pretty far back. And like you, I loved every minute of it. Awesome show and special effects. And like you, when the DSoT video came out, I relived the show. Long live Rachel Fury! Sorry Pete - you must've been all of 6 years old in 1988? my young friend!

| Re: Rachel Fury Ty all, for the warm welcome. Glad I livened up your day a bit. I saw PF in concert back in '73. This was just before they went to studio with Dark Side. At the time, i didn't particularly want to go. Furthermore, I didn't really enjoy the show that much, until they started playing Dark Side material. Iv'e been hooked ever since, and have even developed warm and fuzzy feelings for their work prior to that landmark release. I missed production of The Wall in '80. Made the momentary laspe and the division bell tours. wow. Mometary lapse ruined me for concert shows. I used to go to concerts avidly until that show. I realized I'd never see another show to top what I'd just witnessed. Not to say I don't still go see concerts, but they just aren't the spectacle of a PF show - musically or visually. The single largest influence in my playing ability i attribute to david gilmour. as the sig says, quoting dave mustaine: the man does more with one note than... Ohhh... bragging rights: DG had a big world-wide premier of his second solo albumn, about face, on nation-wide radio. I think the radio show was called Rock Line. Long story short, I got thru on the switchboard and was on hold to pose a question. I'm like last in queue when the phone snake comes on to say We're out of time!! you won't be able to talk with david on the air! Damn it all, man... then he says to stay on the line, because david has consented to visit with me off-air after he records a couple commercial spots. Lo and behold. Mr. Gilmour himself, on the phone with me. He was very gracious, very humble. we got to chat for about 15 minutes. at the end of the conversation, he thanked me, saying situations like our phone call were awkward at best. He said that because i treated him like a regular bloke, rather than showering him with adulation, put him at ease and he felt comfortable. Imagine that! and here i was, worrying about making a complete ass out of myself. And what, you ask, does this have to do with rachel? nothing.

| Re: Rachel Fury Cosmo...you keep telling stories like that and no-one here will talk to you anymore...we're a jealous bunch 'round here (joking). TF...I was 10 y.o. in '88. Unfortunately my Floyd awakening (which was Delicate Sound of Thunder...hence my fondness for that album) occurred in 91...only a few years too late.
