Thumbs down No hockey what to do what to do

Well hockey fans, looks like we are going to have a long winter. No frickin hockey to watch.Iguess the players got a little to geady. How can a sport that pays more to its players than all other sports combined last as long as it has .Hell i can remember the Stanly Cup play offs ending in Feburary.I say dump some of the many teams (33 is to damn many)and bring back the big 6..
For those of you young puppies Thats Toronto(Leafs) Boston(Bruins) Montreal(Habs) Detroit (Wings) NewYork(Rangers)and last but not least Chicago(Hawks).much easier to follow. So fellow hockey fans ,it seems like we will have to find some thing else to do this winter. And to all our friends south of the 49th..WE ARE STILL NUMBER ONE.You may have Lord Stanly 's Cup.But we are the Champians of the World agin ha ha ha

Re: No hockey what to do what to do

I thought of killing myself but i think my wife and kids might not like that. KUDOS to World Cup winners, CANADA. I almost feel like singing their national anthem. Keep in mind NHL Lord Stanley's Cup is the be all to end all hockey Championships. It's the real world championships, they have one hellofa practice session then 2 1/2 Mo. of the best of the best. The lightning would smoke um in a 7 gm series. of course some of the players would have to do shifts on both sides. One good thing, if no hockey all year, is Stevie Y will be back for at least 1 more year. GO Wings!

Re: No hockey what to do what to do

We must come together to overcome a tremendous injustice and suffering thrust upon innocent young men. Hundreds of Professional Hockey players in our very own nation are locked out, living at well below the seven-figure salary level. And as if that weren't bad enough they could be deprived of their life giving pay for several months, possibly longer, as a result of the current lockout situation.

But you can help!

I just started watching hockey and they had to go and scare me off. I'll just whine until baseball season starts.

What? New fan eh? It's still weird for me not to see the Nords playing. Avs suck by the way.

Anyway, screw Hockey. They just shot themselves in the head. I've been a fan for years and years, and I'll never watch it again.....much like 99.9% of the population.

Re: No hockey what to do what to do

i'm gonna have to go to some ahl games. they are a lot cheaper anyway, and its really not bad hockey at all. especially this season since young nhl players will be playing in the ahl.

the phantoms have a family pack. 4 tickets and 4 hotdogs for 48 bucks. me and 3 other hockey buddies are gonna be very close family for a lot of games this year.

Thumbs up Re: No hockey what to do what to do

Hi from the high world
I hope there is a season this year.I see from the news that the players and HHL have decided on a wage cap.I have 1 Question though "what ever happened to playing for the love of the game?Players today seem to play for the large sums of money they get. The old timers hit the nail on the head when they said the game has turned into a large money grab.As Red Story has said "They are all greedy and don"t love the game just the money". So heres to a 2005/06 season and lets hope its is a good one "GO LEAFS"
