I listen to just about whatever I like, and I like to think I have pretty versatile tastes. I like blues, jazz, rock, prog., metal, comedy (weird al), and some sypmhony i can dig, i like classical but i don't listen to it alot. I do like some bands who have been really popular in the past or now, like Nirvana, but who cares? Liking obscure bands doesn't make you cool, and liking popular bands doesn't make you stupid. Unless what you like sucks.

Who's to say what sucks and what doesn't, it's all relative. I personally don't give a toss what other people think, if I like something I'll listen to it regardless.

My friend was recently trying to argue with me when I said I had an amazing taste in music...like Cheese, he said it was relative. Well, after an hour or so, I convinced him otherwise...

I can totally relate to all of this, i also think i have a great musical taste and most people around me don't. And i'm always trying to convince them that their taste sucks like hell, and they should listen to what i listen.

They should listen to Beethoven or whatever, NOT POP or RAP!
There are many types of music that are not Rock but anyway better then pop or rap.

Well of course. Plus, there are the numerous denominations of rock...rock is such a vague term; has been since the 60s.
