The Portrait of... Well that old sun, that's been hanging in the sky, has an evil look inside his eye, and the sky went black, and I quickly learned why. This emptiness of darkness and night, consumed the world with their terror and fright, and in our panic it was easy to see, why the sun had left our side. All our lives, it's been there every day, always starting us off, in it's own subtle way, And you're always a friend, with what kills you in the end, and the sun had been watching us waste away. And all the while he laughed and knew, that in the end, this is what he had to do, was show our greatest fears, underneath the blackened sky, the portrait of our nightmare, in the blink of an eye.

A fairy tale comes tumbling down like a waterfall, tearing the words from a nightmare of mine, to make room for a dream inside my mind so that I can sleep, and not fear the times when I am awake. And stories of clouds that know no fear, a whirlwind of nothingness carries me away, floating carelessly down the stream of life waiting for a waterfall, so that I can crash on the rocks hidden below the water. And our concept of the world is tossed to the side, when everything we know is broken and wrong, when the waves of change's tide grows higher and crashes into our livingrooms, will you ride the crest or be caught in the undertow to be dragged onto the shores of our new time. Will you greet the new day, with an open heart and mind ready to learn, or would not want it so bad you'd throw away everything you'd lost, or merely crack a smile while the birds of life sing songs of joy bringing the tide back down and letting it start over.

I gaze into your wondering eyes, and fall endlessly into your mind, get lost in your dreams and haunted by your past, knowing it's your love I'll soon find. Hoping to one day have that, a love so pure and untied, from the fears and insecurities of our pasts, that make us run and hide. And just know I'll be there, to hold your hand through all this, and if you were lost you'd be found, with the touch of our kiss. I'd whisper the world into your ear, and speak of those beautiful things, and speak ever so softly, that I can hear your heart sing. And as the day is over and done, we make our final leap, to the dreams we have together, as we both fall asleep.

And as the clouds burn and the sun turns to mist, the moon starts checking names of his list, of those who made him lonely. But then to his suprise, everyone else dies, and makes him slowly realize, he's now more alone than ever. I had tried to make him understand, the insanity hidden behind his plan, but maybe he wanted to be alone. now all the blue seas have turned to ice, and all the green trees have died despite, or efforts...but in the end I guess we all have to die anyway.

When the stars all open up, I'll hold out my hand and fill my cup, I can't stop to think of where I've been, I can't pull away, I can't say when, to stop the light from pouring, inside my souls voice is roaring, something calls me someday maybe, like the fall leaves, one way I'll save me, myself, then one that I call I, no money, no wealth, no things that I can buy, will make me whole, or satisfy, this urge for love that hides in my eye, it's almost enough to break my soul, like eating al day couldn't make me full, I need something more than what can be held, I want something inside my heart to be felt, or hear me at least and stop the time, I've been spending, drinking my wine, and slowly I drift away as I weep, for days that past and nightmares when I sleep. Random thoughts.

Washed up on the sandy shores of similar realities, the sun shines blue and burns holes in the lavender trees, the orange wisps of smoke hold tangents to the old times, when the silence's beauty was only matched by our own crimes. Take me back, take me back to the time of sun shine, waiting and debating on the many paths of my life lines, I choose to lead myself, and not to be lead by wealth, holding a sign up to the sky waiting on their failing health. Some one wake me up from this dream of a nightmare, happiness is a warm gun and I think it's time for me to share, my pleasure and my pain holding this piece of warm steel, make this silence be the only thing left in here that's real. Scared of the dark running in circles made up of straight lines, curse the sun yellow and be forgiven of all my crimes, waiting for the moment when the world will turn right-side, holding on to the melody of the shattering light.
