A Delima of Stuff

Hi, i have a problem. this may sound stupid, if u wanna flame me for it, screw you. Well i cant really choose my sound. Like i love psychedelic rock, and i love playing it. but i also have my own style which really isnt like psychedelic rock. and i cant really choose which style i should base my songs around. also i am really crreative when i play psychedelic rock. im 14 and been playin 2 yrs. alot of people say i play exceptionally well for my age and experience time. dont know if its a lie or not. anyway. as i said i make up the most psychedelic things like syd except without the usage of drugs ( i know weird, but u gotta believe it ). But when i play my own style it actually sounds crappy. my dad says when a musician just begins he copies styles and bands for a while until he has his own sound. i believe that, but i just can't wait. well that's it. and ow ya please dont say try mixin both styles.
thanks.

Re: A Dilemma of Stuff

You should go for this really cool sound. It's been very popular since the stone age. Mozart polished it and so did Johann Strauss Jr. Then as time went by hendrix and Barret polished it some more. I think it was called "their own" sound. It worked wonders for all of them if you ask me.
