He sat down with his mum and explained that it was not an attack on her. Whether she believed him or not is another matter!

Angry the meaning of the wall

You idiotic gits, the wall album is about a boy growing up being sheltered by his MOTHER. the song "mother" is talking about the mother being like a wall andsheltering this boy from the outside world. She holds him back and she becomes over protective. At the end of the song the boy says "did it need to be so high",what that means is did the "wall' need to be so high or in other words, did she need to be so protective. Thats what its a about

got it?

hey dumba** i dont think anyone here even specifically asked what the story itself was about. It was more so questions about the inspiration for the song and meaning and what his mum thought or didnt think about it. so Floydforlife why dont you take some ex-lax and relax. Have a cigar your gonna go far! oh wait no not with an attitude like that you wont.

And with that remark you consider yourself as on of them?
To go back on the topic (what this is all about, I guess) there are just a few monarchies left on this planet, which I'm living in one of them. I guess that Waters just used a frase that is the most common and it sounds a hell lot better then "Mother should I trust the queen". That is a contradiction by itself, don't you agree?

I don't consider myself one of them. There are people twice as old as I am here, thats who I was making the reference to.
