Sure nothing can compare to Floyd...if you're expecting something to be able to, you're a twit!

There is tons of great music being pumped out every year. Just over a year ago, I too was convinced the 70s were the only good era for music, excepting a few bands. Then I discovered the wonderful world of underground prog rock. Amazing stuff! You've just got to look a little harder...you'll be pleasantly suprised. I can tell you're not yet ready to move on, but when you are, make sure to check out these bands: Radiohead (give them another listen...they are incredible), Porcupine Tree, Dream Theater, A Perfect Circle. There are dozens more, but that'll get you started.
