The flags themselves are symbols. As a whole, the album artwork uses symbolism.

I did in fact devote a LOT of time to "unlocking the treasures" that are supposedly in this thing. And where are all three of my copies of TDB now? In the used bin, Sonic Boom records, Bloor Street West. Pick them up if you want. More power to you. But personally I can't stand being in the same room as this album anymore.

Man, Botley, it's more serious than I thought. May I suggest a little Division Bell therapy -- possibly some meditation, or how about some marijuana?

Re: Division Bell question.

You know, I can tolerate parts of it. The bits that are on Echoes are fine by me. But if I ever hear "Lost For Words" again I think I may have to strangle myself.

Re: Division Bell question.

It is a great album, but it ranks in the middle of the pack compared to some other Floyd albums.

.........

Im also a younger fan at 18 and i consider myself to be a bigger fan than dave than of rogers. Ive been watchin pulse constantly since i was 8!!!!

I think the division bell is a great album. Coming back to life is one of my favourite floyd tunes. I play the guitar alot and if anyone else here is a guitarist im sure they will have to appreciate the guitar work in that song, alot of great techniques. Lost for words is possibly my favourite song on the album, alot of meaning, and it sounds great. I seem to favour gilmour over waters because i just saw waters as becoming a complete areshole in the end, hes still a genius!!! but an arsehole at the same time, although he does seem to have mellowed out alot.

I think theres alot of great stuff on the division bell, alot of the songs really make me feel different, they can definetley change the way i feel anyway. Like Cluster one into wdywm. Marooned has to be one of the greatest instrumentals ever tho, it just makes me think, without even having any lyrics, thats how powerful gilmours guitar playing is, and again this is a song where he shows just why he is one of the best ever (the best and my opinion) and certainly one of a dying breed.

The artwork is definetley one of my fav things about the album. I still love waters, the guys the best song writer ive come across next to dylan, i think if dave lacks anything its the aggression waters had. Waters political views are great in my opinion and i think this is what makes the early floyd albums some of the best music ill ever hear. I love his aggression. But Dave makes it sound cool!
