That would be the view of the Record company personnel. The muscians themselves have to work hard for the money. At least while on tour.

i read an article where water or gilmour (i forget) said that the song is about being tempted and not "selling out" but to an average person it about not conforming, not doing what others are because youll gain in some way or another

The band is the train, the gravy is the money.
And the folks riding it are the music business guys.

The music business takes the gravy while the train slowly de-rails.

I just think gravy train like some others mentioned is the easy life. I don't know if it means tho the band to have the easy life if they sign to this lavel (which is what I beleive) or what someone else said the label owners will be having the easy life.

I get pretty much most of the song, just a couple questions. "Oh by the way, which one's Pink?" What does that mean? "Everybody else is just green...." Does that mean, everyone is just money? ".....it could be made into a monster..." I think that means the band can be made into a monster (monster as in a really good band) if all the band members work together as a team. Can anyone answer or correct the quotes above?

Pink Floyd is the money band cuz they sang the song money! Duh! LOL

I think that means that the record company that is trying to sign them...they don't really know anyhting about the band there just trying to make a lot of money off of them.
