| Favorite 5 seconds in a Pink Floyd song(s) It's tough but name your favorite 5 seconds in Pink Floyd songs or transitions from song to song. You can have as many as u like. I saw this on another forum and thought it would be interesting. Then we can listen to each others and figure out what favorite parts people have. Here are mine: 1)4:48 to 4:53 on Have a Cigar 2)10:02 to 10:07 on Shine On You Crazy Diamond Parts 1-5 3)The transition from the end of Empty Spaces to Young Lust 4)4:31 to 4:36 on Dogs 5)5:56 on Time (Breathe Reprise starts) 6)1:22 to 1:27 on Run Like Hell-I love the way the lyrics are sang |

| Re: Favorite 5 seconds in a Pink Floyd song(s) here's one for each album... The last few bars of Astronomy Domine. That burst of guitar right before everything drops out in Jugband Blues. Echoey guitar at the very very end of "Dramatic Theme." Roger's vocal entrance on "Grantchester Meadows" "SILENCE IN THE STUDIO!" - Atom Heart Mother Suite The brass enters and the band really takes off in "Biding My Time." Nick's vocal phrase in "One of These Days." Drone. Seven beats. "Obscured By Clouds" begins. "Brain Damage" becomes "Eclipse" Dave belches and then starts soloing over the intro of "Wish You Were Here" The little (non-existant) acoustic guitar crescendo right before Snowy's (non-existant) solo in Pigs on the Wing. "Stop! I wanna go ho-ooome!" "What do ya do to make ends meet...? Teach." "Mixtures rich... set flaps, two degrees." Dave's guitar turns into Rick's keyboard in Keep Talking.

Whoa, man! Slow it down. That's eight seconds -- this thread is for five seconds. Find another thread to post on. Joking, of course. I've thought of a couple: Alan's Psychadelic Breakfast -- when he's pouring the milk on the cereal, then he starts eaiting it. Man, that's as good a gold. Uh, let's see, how about on the live version of The Wall, right after Hey You -- you can hear a lady say "enjoy the magic of reading" and then some kid says "it's fun", then the acoustic guitar kicks in on Is There Anybody Out There?. I dunno why but that one gets to me as well. Also, on The Fletcher Memorial Home, when Roger is saying all of the names, you know, "the ghost of McCarthy, and the memories of Nixon" -- that's some heavy stuff right there man.

| Re: Favorite 5 seconds in a Pink Floyd song(s) Sorry i can't be bothered to get the timings. Acoustic guitar enters---"There is no pain you are receeeeding" The short guitar interlude after Shine On (1-5)'s first "and Shine!" "I can't think of anything to say....(laughter)" The piano-sax interlude on Us and them Also there are more guitar bits than i can remember.

Yes, I really like that one too. I can`t find the exact moment when Roger`s voice goes into synthesizer, sounds like he`s voice covers the synthesizer for a few seconds.
