Look man, It'd be great if Pink Floyd toured. But THEY'RE NOT GOING TO! These are all just silly rumors to heighten the hopes of poor young teenagers who might be duped into thinking they'll get to see their #1 band from the 70's. I'm 15, I'd love to experience the Floyd, but these threads are getting tiring. I didn't mean that I don't give a shit about Floyd, I meant I don't give a shit about Floyd reunion rumours.

By the way, those are some beautiful pictures Cheese! I didn't know you had it in you!

It's a rough start, but you aren't the first one.

It's like this... There are a bazillion threads like this. If you were to read a few of them, you'd find that:

1. The band members aren't gonna do it. Roger Waters will never, ever play with any of the other members again. Period. The divide is too wide to be crossed.

2. The post-Waters Floyd lacks something that Waters brought to the band. They aren't going to try again.

3. The board members here have seen this rumor over and over and over... It's less funny than Publius. No hopes are left to arouse.

4. The band members are not the 20-something pictures on the album covers anymore. They have moved on with their lives, they have other interests now (except, of course, Roger. ). Even if they got back together, it would not be the same.

5. Every so often, a new crop of members joins, and inevitably post a thread like this without reading any of the other bazillion threads like this. By having so many, even if one was to use the search function, the answers are still impossible to find. This annoys the hell out of people who actually want to find, say, the post where someone linked to the interview where Roger explains his position, so actual, useful information is lost. There are so many threads like this one the mods seem to have given up on closing them.

Welcome to APFFN, Scottxxx8 (I'd ask you what the 'x' means, but then you'd say 'which one?', and I'd say 'Any of 'em', and we'd get all wrapped up in this Douglas Adams thing that I'm way too tired to understand...). I recommend you post a hello in Welcome to the Machine - one of the mods'll point you at the guidelines and other members will tell you about what's going on.

Sorry, but you just jumped in with a classic mistake - welcome, and let's all just move along...

"scottxxx8" is my e-mail address too. "scott" was already taken as a Yahoo! email address so I just randomly added letters and numbers until I got one. Also, you've got to admit, "X" is by far the coolest letter and "8" is without a doubt the coolest number.
