But its sucks that those bands will get recognition for being "SO MADD!!!" for playing a cover of a Pink Floyd song.

Namely the you ger generation will most liekly not even know about who wrote the song.

That, I think, is where the injustice lies.

Yeah, but maybe these covers will help create a few more fans so it isn't all bad.

it sucks! (sorry on expression) but when i first heard that i couldn't believe....you know when you recognize song after 2 seconds...i was so pissed that day (i couldn't believe that it disturbed me that much)

i hate when some new bands come and ruin songs
the newest i heard is Personal Jesus covered by Marilyn Manson...

although there are some actually good covers:
SR Vaughan - Little Wing
Joe Cocker - with a little help from my friends
...

shine on

Hardcore Depeche Mode fan are we?

Manson's cover is actually quite faithful to the original. Which is a sucky thing to do... if you're going to cover it then put your own spin on the song (like Johnny Cash did)!

Dream Theatre did 2112 on their 2002 tour so it sounds as if they are not intimidated to play intricate pieces in concert. I dont know much about them other than that unfortunatly. I think comparing korn or LB to any great band is silly. These guys have the musical integrity of Jessica Simpsons sister...

I like Korn's cover. Not as much as the original, but more than I like any othe Floyd cover I've ever heard (which isn't saying much). At least Korn did the guitar solo... I particularly like the arrangement...

My least favorite Pink Floyd cover of all time was Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2 by "Class of '99" for the film "The Faculty"

Korn kept the song intact at least but the lead singer's voice sux and he should have never destroyed such an awsome song as for the CN cover i hav'nt heard it yet but if its anything like y'all say it is i dont kno if i want to hear it

I thought Korn's cut of ABITW was okay...People need to remember they are not Pink Floyd...The guitar solo was too forced however.

No, not at all. Heavy metal wouldn't be the word to describe it. Definitely not.

And I'm sorry to hear that you ever had any respect for them at all.
