Someone told me Barrett played for the song but I seem to remember seeing a video of the recording session or something where Gilmour was playing. So when was the song recorded? I guess they did a little bit with Barrett still in the band and then finished it when he left? |

| Re: Did barrett play guitar on set the controls for the heart of the sun? I've read (in Vernon Fitch's Pink Floyd Encyclopedia) that Syd MAY be on the released version but if so he's VERY low in the mix... |

I think the whole mix is very low in the mix. Whatever that means. I really have a hard time distinguishing the bass and guitar on that track.
