When Dave says "a cloud of eiderdown draws around me softening the sound", I think he means that something relaxing fogs his mind and makes his senses soft and hazey. As we all, or most of us, know exactly what does that to the mind, mmm hmm. Later

OR, it could mean he's languishing beneath his "cloud of eiderdown", perhaps recollecting childhood days of hiding under the covers, safe and cocoon-like.

It seems all to be about sleepy time and lolling about in bed, with one's love by one's side. Ahhhh :smile:
