Astronomy Domine on pulse video?

I was reading here and someone said they liked the astronomy domine version on pulse.

I downloaded it (don't have it anymore, reformatted hard drive) and skimmed through but didn't see astronomy domine. Is it there? If so, how far into the video? I guess if it is, I'll have to redownload it.

The Floyd did not play it on the night the PULSE video was recorded. It is, however, on the CD/cassette/vinyl version.

Is it worth a listen or is it just overproduced like most of the new stuff?

I like the Pulse version, but there are better live versions done back in the good ole days when Waters was still in the band. If you want to listen to a 30 second clip from the pulse CD, go to Amazon.com (see link).

Put it this way: I wouldn't be sad if Ummagumma was the only official live album.

Agreed TOTALLY.

Where Dave got off on playing a song that was completely Syd's I don't know.

Dave and Syd were mates so their is no reason why not and afetr Syds ejection from the Floyd Dave worked with Syd to get him back on his feet this was just a tribute to his friend. As for the quality I don't think it's that bad though I just wish it had benn IO love that song and it has no official live release.

So true. But what I would give for a nice, newly mixed, official stereo CD of Live At Pompeii...

I'm not discounting they were friends.

But Astronomy Domine was written solely by Barrett, for another incarnation of Floyd. Not Dave Floyd, not Roger Floyd - SYD Floyd.
