| Hello. My first post here and probably not the last, I have a question for you and couldn't find a thread about it. I am a Frank Zappa fan/collector and I wonder if any of you have information about the following show: 25 oct 1969 Amougies, Belgium Frank Zappa was sitting in with several (?) bands and played with Pink Floyd on Interstellar Overdrive. There's even a picture of this: I have downloaded 'Interstellar Overdrive', the one that is supposed to be the Amougies rendition and I wonder if it's true. It starts with the announcement (after tuning a guitar): "Frank(?), we're playing(?) this one since we were teenagers, which is a long time, it's called Interstellar Overdrive". Crowd cheers... Anyone here got the recording (I noticed there's a boot in the trading circuit) and would like to check out if this is the actual version from the Amougies show? Many many thanks in advance! :-) |

a compilation disc containing portions of this festival date was torrented on the groove earlier this year. Unfortunetely, the Zappa/Floyd get-together wasn't included. Here's the info provided with the torrent: Pink Floyd Date: 1969-10-25 Venue: @Actuel Pop And Jazz Festival, Mont de I'Enclus, Amougies, Belgium (see notes) Sets: 63min+ Media: CDR Number: 1 Source: sbd > STG Quality: A- Notes: Actuel Pop And Jazz Festival, Mont de I'Enclus, Amougies, Belgium October 25, 1969 Source: Mono Soundboard Recording>CDR>FLAC Seeded by Lestatkatt 5/8/04 Please Do Not Encode To MP3 Keep it loseless. I haven't come across this video yet, so I have no way of checking if this is directly from the film , or from other sources. The sound quality is excellent. The trader who sent me this show on CDR didn't have a Track List either. The list ablove is what STG collectors have come up with (so far!) We would Appreciate help with the rest of this Track List. Email me Directly at Lestatkatt At Aol Dot Com or Post it here on the thread so I can update the original post with the correct bands/songs. Thank You Very Much! - Michael |

| Re: PF at Amougies, Belgium, Oct. 25th 1969 I never thought I would see the scenario depicted in that pic. Frank Zappa and Floyd. Ok, I can die now.
