Imagine transposed in minor!

Hey,
I dont know if you guys have heard of A Perfect Circle, but they took the song Imagine and transposed the song in minor and made it really creapy. I think it's pretty interesting. A Perfect Circle is a really cool band. I suggest checking it out--even if you're a skeptic...

Tell me they made a Serialist verison of the song and maybe I'll start mustering up some respect for them.......

Um, excuse me, but I don't know if you noticed, but this is the "Music-related babbling" section. And yes, plenty people care about them...I thought "Thirteenth Step" was exceptional.

I understand this is a floyd site, but if you've ever read the stuff on here, you'd notice that there are certian parts of the forum each catagiores, and sub catagories.

I put this under music-related babbling because it's related to music and babbling. I thought it was cool.

I was kinda disapointed in their version of the song. I know Maynard can do better, plus he needs to go back to -TOOL- he's much better with them.

That song is almost better than the original.

Wow, I wouldn't go that far.

Plus the new album that they're releasing "Imagine" on is nothing but cover songs. They took a chance
being that these are mainly anti-war songs.... and for a band that
tends to not take much of a political (primarily religious) stances they might have risked too much...but who knows.

Maynard's vocals/vocal melody and the music don't go together well.

And I think it reflects the mood of our time better.

It's not even close. I like MJK and all, but he's no Lennon.

not to compare him to lennon, but what i wanted to say was he did a damnably good job of adapting it.
