he means plug the cables in the other way around..

as in, plug the guitar in 'signal out' and the amp into 'signal in'.

The "Medicine Bottle" a-la Dickie Betts is a glass Corasidin D bottle. I use one occasionally. I have a glass slide, a stainless Steel slide and a piece of copper pipe that I mede myself.. they all sound different.

I do that too!

Also, if you play a ring-tone on your cell phone and hold it up to the pickups, it will play the music through the amp (with single coils). If you use humbuckers, and have a vibrating cell phone, it won't pick up the noise but it will pick up the vibrations, it's pretty weird.

Yeah, look. I need some advice. Any of you guys got an idea of what kind of guitar i should get for the first time? See, i wanna start playing the guitar and i was just wondering if any of you guys could help me out. I just want something cheap, you know. Not too pricey, incase i get bored or just quit.
Any shops or Internet sites would be appreciated, or basically just any advice at all that you can offer.
Thanks,

Ccenzo.

You might start out by checking your local pawn shops.
Another possibility is Ebay, you can find some good deals there.
You can pick up something like a Squire Strat for less than $100USD quite easily.

As far as type of guitar, electric or acoustic, it's up to you.

More on topic, I also have used a piston wrist pin from a Ford flathead as a slide. Size is perfect, sounds great, but a bit hard to control. It's heavy and takes 3 fingers to hold. It would work great for doing what Dave does on Echoes / Pompeii.

That's what's nice about the Coricedin bottle or the copper tubing, you can use your other 3 fingers to fret notes.

Also, it's helpful to raise the action on the strings, you don't want the slide to hit the frets.

well someone asked about the laughing effect. ok listen. if u have a wah well theres two jacks right. one that leads to the amp. and one that connects to ur guitar. see u would take the chord that goes in the instrument jack and put it in the amplifier leading wah jack. and vice versa. if u still dont understand then keep tryin stuff with ur chords and the wah.

I used to do the same thing. The best is when you held either the channel or volume button down.

I did that last night, it wasn't that great, I probably need a more powerful remote.

My friend can talk into his pickups and it come out the amplifier with whatever effects that are on the pedal, pretty neat.

You can sing through humbucking pickups, it's fun.

If I get a Strat, my DS-1 distortion pedal, and my Fender BXR amp, I can create a perfect feedback sustain loop. I just lean it against the amp and the E buzzes forever. I can't seem to do it with any other combination of guitar, pedal, or amp.
