Re: The Hammers...

They represent objects that are both constructive and destructive. They help build walls and tear them down. Theres probably more to it but thats what i think.

Re: The Hammers...

It couldn't be possible that someone asked this question before, could it? No chance this could be one of those DDT's?

Re: The Hammers...

the way the hammers are placed on the red and white flag is supposed to represent a swastika-type-sort-of-thing

Re: The Hammers...

It's interesting to note that many of the machines pictured are made up with parts that resemble hammers. AS mentioned above,
they possess both creative and destructive powers, simultaneously beneficial and oppressive. The same hammer that constructs a house has the power to tear it down. I've read about a little interesting and often overlooked subtlety is the color scheme of the walls in the hall that the teachers march down (In the Flesh). The half white (on top) and red (on bottom) parallel the color scheme of the insignia in Pink's later dictatorial dementia. This occurrence of the white and red subtly foreshadow what is to come by showing part of the cause of Pink's later breakdown. Unfortunately, It seems that this is an actual symbol touted by a white supremacist group known as the Hammerskins as well.
