Okay, here's a serious reply: Who the hell is PUBLIUS and what the hell is his/her/their/its ENIGMA? One feels one should already know the answers to the above questions, but for the life of one, and one's addled senses notwithstanding, one cannot make any sense of it. (Nods to the admirable Radiohead) Flummoxedly Floydian, Byron

PUBLIUS is a joke proposed to Dave by a (likely) inebriated roadie or lighting tech, possibly even Storm himself. Dave and/or the rest of the band liked the idea because they know that there are a bunch of Pink Floyd fans who examine everything they do down to the finest minutiae (sp?). Heck, Roger doesn't even remember why he was shouting numbers, apparently at random during the animals tour, nor does it matter. You can find the same relentless connecting of obscure details/facts at http://listen.to/thewarningofthesecondcoming and see what wonderful conclusions they're coming to. The solution to whatever question PUBLIUS was asking? I dunno. How about: stop worrying about silly conspiracy theories and listen to some nice music (TDB is quite nice, despite what the Roger camp has to say). Whew! Now where's my "tangible prize"?

THE ENIGMA IS A CONSPIRACY MAN! IT'S RUSTY SHACKLEFORD, WHO SUPPOSEDLY DROWNED IN 1955! JOHNSON SHOT KENNEDY! CASTRO'S GOT AN ESCAPE SUB! THE RUSSIANS ARE IN CAHOOTS WITH THE NORTH KOREANS! NICK MASON AND AL GORE TRIED TO WHITE OUT CERTAIN PARTS OF THE CONSTITUTION! IT'S A CONSPIRACY MAN!

I think the reason no one took you seriously was because no one knew what PUBLIUS was. Honestly I havent heard about it for so long I totally forgot about it. By the way I don't get a hardon because of the cuss word in my sig. That's just the way I feel. I'm not some teenager who just started listening either, (no offense to any teenagers or people who just started listening). But it's cool man, everyone says stuff they later regret hell, I do it all the time.

I really didn't know that the Publius Enigma (seven years old) was not discussed a lot here. It's sort of a relief from the Keep Talking forum, where it's all they talk about. Maybe I should give it a rest too.

Apologies excepted (marry bulls?). I gave up on conspiracy theories after reading the Illuminatus trilogy. Trip-and-one-half. A change is as good as a rest, Byron
