notes:
This is an amazing album containing 15 outtakes from the famous sessions
for the Antonioni cult classic.

After recording for several days, only three songs ended up on the official soundtrack.

Over the years several outtakes appeared on dubious and soundwise poor bootlegs.

In 1997 a revised edition of Zabriskie Point was released, including four previously unreleased Floyd takes. But there was more, much more as this release proves.

No less than fifteen outtakes you never heard before in this quality or in any quality!

wouldn't mind getting this either.........

I remember buying the two-disc set of ZP around four years ago, and was really disappointed that Oenone and Fingal's Cave weren't on it - given that the soundtrack's from the Ummagumma period it probably explains why we get a pointless piano solo and a blues jam as the Floyd seem to want to distance themselves from their 'floundering in Syd's psychedelic wake' period :P

Yes, I agree. It would of been nice to include Oenone and Fingal's Cave. But, Oenone and Fingal's Cave (I really like the Fingal's Cave part) is available on several ROIO sources. For example, one of them that I have it on is Ultra Rare Tracks #2 (the songs are not really all that rare, but certainly worth having anyway if you are a hardcore Floyd fan).

That set is mislabelled. Oneone, Fingal's Cave and Crumbling Land were never performed live, and Barrett was out of the group before "Baby Blue Shuffle in D Major" was composed... by Dave. On his own.

ROIO labels are notorious for errors.

As Botley points out, tracks 6 and 7 are not live, but rather outtakes from the Zabriskie Point recording session in Rome.

Baby Blue Shuffle in D Minor is indeed just by Dave.

According to the the Pink Floyd ROIO database... "Green Is The Colour" and "Careful With That Axe, Eugene" are not from July 1969, but from the well known "Peel Sunday Concert" broadcast, recorded on July 16, 1970, at the BBC Paris Theatre in London.

The source for track 8 is wrong too. It should be the same as tracks 4 and 5.
