psychic experience

I was wanting to get the views of what people think of psychic visions, and if they have had similar experiences or to give there own personal experiences.

Here is one of my personal experiences...

I had a dream that seemed to last for weeks in my head, and when I woke up I felt like I had not had any sleep for days. I told a few friends about what happened in my dreams because they were so visual and realistic that I remembered allot of what I dreamed. About a year later I started having deja voo experiences of the dreams that I had during that time and they are still happening to this day. Not as much but still more than just occasionally. A few of my friends remember the dreams I told them about and were shocked to find they happened in real life. I haven't been able to unlock my psychic potential, they are just random occurences that I seem to have no control over....

What are your views on the subject? Not just my encounter but any of your encounters you may have had...

Re: psychic experience

One time my dad just suddenly had a revelation that our neighbor was going to die of cancer. Our neighbor didn't have cancer, or any sign of cancer at the time, but nonetheless, he died. It's sad, but it's pretty weird.

Re: psychic experience

I used to read tarot cards in High School.

At a fall fund raiser fair we had I had a fortune telling booth and did a reading for a girl in my class. The cards said that she was going to take a trip over water and it would end tragically. We all had a good laugh.

After graduation that spring she and two friends wer going to Hawaii for a trip.. the palne crashed ay O'Hare on takeoff and killed all aboard. (You may remember the news story around '78 or '79). I've often wondered if she rememberd the card reading in her last moments...

I have not read the cards since.

Re: psychic experience

Thats horrible, I also do readings but only on special occasions. Only for a few friends that are understanding and know how to take it.

Re: psychic experience

You do know that reading was general enough to apply to most people at any time, don't you?

Re: psychic experience

I was with my neighbor and some other people down in Deep Ellum (the party area of downtown dallas), and we went to this pizza restaurant and they had fortune cookies, and mine said "a challenge lies ahead". We had a good laugh because it was so general. Well, I had to be home at 2 AM, but these girls (and their mom) we though wanted to stay later, so my neighbor called her husband to come pick us up. We found out that the girls were actually planning on leaving whenever I needed to, so they left and we were just going to wait for my neighbors husband to come pick us up. After they left, we realized that the main road to get down there was blocked off, and micah (neighbors husband) didn't have a cell phone. We walked around for about an hour trying to find him, but we never did. He wound up going home and we called those girls and their mom and they came and got us and took us home. That was one of the most difficult times I've had getting home!!!

Re: psychic experience

Fortune cookies at a pizza place?

I guess I should expect it... Lots of interesting restaurants in Dallas - forty pages of 'em in the Yellow Pages, last time I was there.

Re: psychic experience

When I was in High School, me and 3 other friends were messing around with an Ouija board. It was creeping me out, because it kept getting questions we asked right -- Like, "how much change does Len have in his pocket". Answer: 8 cents. It was right. Stuff like that. Finally, I remember I asked what was the name of the girl I would marry. The answer was "Barbara". I knew that was bogus because I only knew three girls named Barbara (small town). One was my cousin. The other two I wouldn't a touched with a ten foot pole.

I never thought about it again until years later when I was on my honeymoon with my new wife, Barbara.

Re: psychic experience

You know, speaking of fortune cookies:

Right after my g/f of eleven months decided to make a life change that didn't include me I got a fortune cookie that said "Change is Happening, go with the flow." I didn't heed it. Rather I continued to pursue her. After convincing her to come over for dinner ( which incidentally happened to be chinese take out) I got another cookie that said, "Romance will take you in a new direction."

I am still a skeptic.

So how do you refer to Barbara's parents? The In-laws, Mom & Dad, Aunt & Uncle????
