Yeah, it kind of sucks. The ability to listen to individual components of the 5.1 mix on their own is kind of cool, I guess. Once.

On DVD? They might be. But there's gotta be some pretty heavy-duty cosmetics applied to get them to a releaseable standard of quality.

The Berlin concert sounds absolutely stellar in DTS 5.1, however I may end up just buying the hybrid SACD and selling this special edition DVD. It's only in PAL so I can't watch it on my TV, and the aspect ratio is wrong with blurryness from the framerate conversion on top of it all. Yuck.

Ah...that would be a bummer.

But no, I don't see any amount of cosmetics rescuing The Wall shows...at least not to "acceptable" standards, for BDG and RW.
