"Tales of Mystery and Imagination" and "Eye In The Sky" most fully capture the technical and symphonic aspects of APP's vision. "Turn of a Friendly Card" is close behind.

I could give a list of singles that are among the "best" in my opinion, but that spans pretty much all their albums from ToMaI to Gaudi.

Hmm...somehow missed this thread the first time around. I'd recommend "Tales..." as a starter album (a great classic rock presence), but "I Robot" is probably their best work. I wasn't a great fan of their 80s stuff...

"Pyramid" would also be another good one to get, but later, after those ones.

I'm seeing the band in a few days, actually the day after the album is released, so hopefully it will be good. The album sounds promising, hopefully he won't just have tons of repetitive techno on there and have something that develops.
