I wondered if anyone could recomend a particular album by him (them?). I'd like a good starter album. something that "exemplifies" their sound. I know that in some cases (Pink Floyd) this is impossible but I would be grateful for any recomendations.

Yes, Alan Parsons rocks!

Ok - i would get "Alan Parsons Best of Volume 2"

this was my first, and i feel in love with it.

but if you want a specific album - "Eye In the Sky" is probably their best

"Pyramid" would be second.

"Dat record by The Alan Parsons Project. I dunno, Triangle or something".

Cheers,

Turn of a Friendly Card and Tales of Mystery and Imagination are both brilliant, in my view, definitive APP albums, especially the latter if one has a taste for Poe as well.

alan parsons project is ok. nothing spectacular. mostly a breeding ground for musicians as many of the different musicians who played on the albums went on to other things.

Hey BOAB whats this ?Do you beleive in telepathy/mental links/brainwaves match? The ALBUMS u recommended >TOAFC & TOMAI are the very ones I was going to recommend, cause they are the best.Incidentally "RUSH"'s album "Roll the Bones shares the same theme as Turn of a freindly card!.I also prefer GAUDI & FREUDINIA by APP.
