ive been here only a few days and i have already decided to leave

thats a darn shame considering the fact that i have always found real floyd fans intelligent

Since Pink Floyd have pretty much been dead since 1994 (or 1987 for some), there is really not much to talk about regarding Pink Floyd. Just about every topic has been beat to death, including meanings of songs and song titles. Most of the discussion on this site is about everything BUT Floyd, you may not like that but it's something to get used to. There is plenty of discussion about other bands, and really anything you can think of. If it's not there, than bring it up!

As for rude people, it is very hard to find your niche in this site upon joining, for it looks like it's a big clique, like in high school. But all you really have to do is get to know everyone. You gotta love just about everyone here if you take the time to get to know them. And another thing that turns a lot of people off is acting like a jerk. Believe me, I was quite an idiot back in the day, but I think I've cooled off a bit. The key to happiness here is time, and patience.

Once you realize these things, this site is an incredibly fun place. I visit here a couple times a day, whenever I'm on the computer really. It's not as hard as it seems to make friends, and once you do, you will regret thinking about leaving!

Most of us, whether new or not, actually try to follow the posting policies and search before creating new threads. We're generally bright enough to understand why that's desirable.

In any internet forum, it's a good idea to read for awhile and learn what's going on and who is who, before jumping right in and posting. While it may seem new, exciting, and fresh to you, this board has been around for about nine years - many subjects have been exhaustively researched or discussed. Writing posts is only half the process - the other half is reading, and you don't seem to have done that.

Another good idea is to not lose your temper and attack people. Every post has a 'report this post' button at its bottom right corner - if you find a post violates the policies, you should report it rather than taking matters into your own hands, at least as a new member.
