2 Different WYWH Covers

what was the point of putting out a 2nd WYWH cover with the man that is on fire, not that much on fire as in the original(like in my avatar)??????

Isn't that the cover to the 2005 calendar?

I prefer the one with less fire, it looks more natural. But I've got the one with a lot of fire on my USA 8-Track cartridge so I tend to associate it with that.

I also saw a WYWH cover on the cd that was the 2 men instead of just the fire.

On the vinyl copies, the original is the original, but the mid 80's rerelease is on glossier card and features Simon Weston in a slightly different pose

I liked the original. I'd seen it before, I too wonder why they changed it.

if you look closely almost all the cd covers differ from the original lp's. (i.e. the wall cd has the words "pink floyd the wall" on it, the original lp has just plain bricks).

It's just another picture from the same shoot, there is a whole series of them including some with the man on fire running towards a guy with an extingisher. Instead of just re-releasing the same cove as Storm redid the whole packaging due to the different size and the fact you get a booklet with a CD he just thought a change of scenery on the frount would be good.

Do you think the man on fire was actually on "fire" in the original? Cuz I remember hearing that the wind blew the wrong direction and got his actual skin alight? So on the reshoot he was lessened?
