I can remember my first flush of IRC addiction and getting banned from my favourite channel. I was quite stricken for a couple of days, then all was well again.

That is, until I got my first IRC-related phone bill - the UK still doesn't have universally free local calls - and I was at once cured. Well, ever the recovering IRCoholic.

It IS a pity when people are unable to take a joke, or even appreciate light-hearted humour, but it's worse when they cannot differentiate between honest comment and point-scoring jibes. Paranoia setting in, perhaps

Well, I simply said that the new millinium equivalent of Vinnie Vincent is nsync. Oh, I also made fun of the owner of the board. I call him a fat middle aged guy and told him to put away the holey jeans, bandanna, hairspray, and other things, and told him that the 80's were dead. He told me that Vinnie Vincent is the greatest guitar player of all time. I told him to F--- himself.

Banned huh?

Besides, everybody knows that the true guitarist for the millenium is actually Yngwie J Malmsteen. I dentifiable from the glut of other Yngwie Malmsteens by the simple inclusion of the 'J'.

Clever chap that he is.
