Questions about the digitech RP200A

hi im thinking about buying one. and i have some questions before trying it out.
1. is the phaser,tremelo,vibrato,chorus, rotary speaker, and fuzz on it good?
2. Can u perform volume swells with the footswitch.
3.If i combine the chorus,vibrato, and rotary speaker effects, will i have a sound close to the unvibe, how close, 1/10
4. when combning effects do all the effects have to be at the same speed/depth?
5. lets say im playing a show, and im using phaser for one riff and im soon gonna use chorus to the next riff, will i be able to switch off like that.
6. Im playing a show again, and this one riff im playing has phaser and when im about to the repeat the riff, can i add another effect on top of the phaser.
7. is it reliable for stage?

thanks.

I reckon everything would sound tasty, except fuzz and distortions.

Generally yes. I have been very pleased with mine. It has a digital fuzz, so it's not as "warm" as an analog, but when combined with other effects (compression & OD) it sounds great.

No, each effect can be set independantly of one another.

Kind of.. You program each patch independantly. Let's say for solo 1 you need these settings

Patch 1:
compression =8
chorus = 6
flanger = 3

For solo 2 you need the same settings but need to add fuzz at level 5..

Patch 2:
compression = 8
chorus = 6
flanger = 3
fuzz = 5

Once these are programed in, you would toggle between the two patches.

I had an RP100, and I'm sorry I just couldn't dig it. The effects sounded too fake to me, and It was hard going from clean to dist. with two completely different settings. But of course, that was back in my early days, I may be better at it now.

Nothing sounds like a Leslie but a Leslie. The rotary feature in the RP200A sounds good, I use it quite a bit. But as compared to the real thing.. I'd call it 6/10.

If you already have a set of pedals that you like, the 200A would be a nice addition. They sell for around $150.00 around here. That's the same as about two standard pedals. For that $$$ you get a lot... It has about 130 presets already loaded in. I use about 30 on a regular basis. (Quite a few are a bit overdriven and metallic for my taste).

The actual effects are very good, not outstanding, but good. The bigger benefit for me is the ability to model amp and cab combinations. You can create some VERY VINTAGE sounds by using the different amp and cab models.

The pedal itself has a very smooth action, you can use it to controll wah, volume, depth and speed, rotation velocity & accelleration.. it's pretty cool.

It will take you a few days (took me a couple of weeks) to figgure the entire system out. Once you find your way around the thing, it's a pretty powerful tool.

I find the drum machine and patterns are a big help as well, especially when I'm recording. At face value the drums are very synthetic, and I sure wouldn't use them at a paying gig. But to reproduce a steady beat to record over and have a Drummer-at-the-push-of-a-button for jam sessions with your buds.. it's great.

Fulghy. Im thinking of getting a tubescreamer ts-808 and a delay pedal. First i was thinking of a boss dd-3 delay pedal, but wow it was kind of expensive. And since i really cant understand how the heck there could be such a big difference between the delay pedal, i now ask you. Does the choices sound good? And is there something i could buy as a delay pedal which is cheaper ?
