Here's a little story about a cat named Bill
Poor country kitty, couldn't keep his tummy fill
Then one day he was a-strummin on his tongue
And soon after that came money, by the ton.

Gold, that is. Greenbacks. Moolah, moolah.

Well, next thing you know ol' Bill's a billionaire
Kinfolks said, "Bill, move away from there!
"Cali-fornee's the place for nuts like you!"
So he loaded up the U-Haul and moved to Malibuuuu...

It kinda drags on endlessly, I guess that is why Roger gave up and got Roy to sing vocals for the next song..

well i don't agree with you...i would say that on wywh everything has it's perfect place...but never mind

Roy sang that song and i think i've read somewhere that simply Rog's voice wasn't good at the time they were doing the song,

ROger had some problems with voice so that's why he mostly let other to sing this on album (later in some interview he said that he was very sorry he couldn't sing)

probably you can find something about this in echoes archives...

here's one question:
i got few days ago from friend a cd: in the flesh tour, rog waters from 2000. or soemthing like that (well, in every case some recent date)
does anybody have this?
i'm interested in song wish you were here, it's on teh first cd, i think a song number 10 or 11...at the end of the song, after all those "how i wish you were here" which sings some lady, after the clap, it seems that rog actually says: "wish they were here"

anyone heard this?

I'd have to agree with you, Lumiere. SOYCD is the only song on there that's truly brilliant. WTTM and Cigar are pretty bland in my opinion. WYWH is pretty good, but SOYCD is the gem.

I would have to disagree wiht TheDarkWall and say that WYWH isnt boring at all, soycd is kinda long and doesnt go anywhere in the beginning but i wouldnt call it boring, wywh, the song, isnt boring and i listen to that day in and day out.....and for Have a Cigar, that never gets old......so TheDarkWall is extemley wrong in saying that

send you answer to old pink, care of the funny farm

It really does offer such a rich wealth of experiences on every level.
Well put, Botley.
WYWH is a masterpiece.
