System of a Down underrated

I would just like to say System of a Down is underrated. They are one of the only good bands today. And no im not saying this being Armenian myself. If you listen to everything of theirs, you truly see this band is way ahead of its time. I dont know maybe the advertisement or media controlling bastards are racist to the fact that system is made up of Armenians, maybe. Anyway all i know they are way ahead of their time and have a great psychedelic metal sound. Listen to all their music not just Chop Suey, or Toxicicity. Also another great Armenian band named The Apex Theory are in the same situation as system in my opinion. Who agrees?

I agree, I dig System of a Down. They have a very unique sound. Very thrashing indeed.

you're both insane. system of a down is a passing fad. No musical talent. No potential for expasion and exploration. Just a bunch of apes banging on musical instruments and yelling into microphones.

I have to say, considering the extant hardcore scene, System of a Down come across as fairly boring.

I only own Toxicity but have to say that it's head and shoulders over any metal guff being released today.

Yes it is.

It's saying 'I only own Toxicity but have to say that it's head and shoulders over any metal guff being released today'.

Oh, and there is plenty of good metal out these days, you've just gotta look for it. I haven't really heard much of System, but generally get the impression they are a factory rock/MTV band (that's my term for bands making racket only to get some $$). This is based mostly on the fact that I've seen TV commercials for their albums, and have seen dozens of people wearing their shirts.

Well you don't know what you're talking about, then.

I was just giving you my impressions...not my opinions. Though I just realized I've heard one of their songs, "When Angels Deserve To Die," or whatever it is, and remember not being very impressed. At all.

It's called Chop Suey. I wouldn't exactly call it commercial or in it for the $'s, would you?

Maybe not, but I would call it uninteresting and unoriginal.
