The original "More than Words" was a mid level top 40 pop hit in the late 80's by the Band "Extreme" .. They were about as extreme as vanilla ice cream and mashed potatos.

Extreme was comprised of Nuno Bettencourt primarily. The song was composed by Nuno Bettencourt and vocalist Gary Cherone.

It's actualy too bad that 'More Than Words' was a hit for them, because most of their stuff is a lot heavier.

Nuno is a helluva guitar palyer. I actually like Extreme. 'Am I Ever Gonna Change' is a great tune.

Straight up? Well, let him know that I, along with lots of now 30 somethings, shagged their first loves to that tune. Was a bitch having to stop and put the stylus back to the beginning, mind.

No way...Put up a photo from the family reunion or something...

Did you see VH1's Bands Reunited when they tried to get Extreme back together? Nuno said no!

I didn't see that and I so wanted to 'cause we lost track of him some years ago. He's a distant cousin so we were never very close, but we lived across from each other for like 5 years when I was a child.
