| Re: PINK FLOYD'S MUSIC: SOUNDTRACK TO HISTORY (Part 4): "The Division Bell" and Jesus Tempted by Satan I have stayed out of this thread until this point because I happened to disagree with the view it stated. However--I will vigorously defend this person's right to say what he wishes without having to deal with insults. Discussion is one thing, but when it verges into insults, that is most uncalled for. We all have a right to relate to the music as we wish; it is a very individual experience that we simply cannot dictate to others.

| Re: PINK FLOYD'S MUSIC: SOUNDTRACK TO HISTORY (Part 4): "The Division Bell" and Jesus Tempted by Satan (clapping with a smile!) Bravo FloydWaters!!! Well put. Personally, I always thought that you could compare just about every human experience to PF. Not the Bible. (That doesn't reserve me a front row seat in Hell does it?) To each their own. "Just thought... you'd like to hear."

| Re: PINK FLOYD'S MUSIC: SOUNDTRACK TO HISTORY (Part 4): "The Division Bell" and Jesus Tempted by Satan I get the paranoid delusion that some of you are making me out to be a Holier-than-thou Bible thumper. Although I am religious, I do not wish to rub it in everyone's eyes. Please read my first little "Pink Floyd's Music: Soundtrack to History" post and you will see that in no way, as I have repeated over and over, am I saying these coincidences, which is all they are (...or are they? Hehe, just kidding), are intentional. Thank you. |

| Re: PINK FLOYD'S MUSIC: SOUNDTRACK TO HISTORY (Part 4): "The Division Bell" and Jesus Tempted by Satan Hmm...it seems to me the offending post has been removed! Anyway, I see nothing wrong with what you are doing, Talking Head. I just relate differently to particular parts of the music; that's all. Of all of PF's albums, I think that The Division Bell is one of the ones that we each infuse the most of our OWN experience into it, instead of having the story told straight to us.

| Re: PINK FLOYD'S MUSIC: SOUNDTRACK TO HISTORY (Part 4): "The Division Bell" and Jesus Tempted by Satan Dunno about the album choice FW, but fair enough. Incidentally, what did said "offending post" actually say? Cheers, Mark _________________ Isn't this where we came in?

| Re: PINK FLOYD'S MUSIC: SOUNDTRACK TO HISTORY (Part 4): "The Division Bell" and Jesus Tempted by Satan It was basically a diatribe against religion and it went into name-calling. But I really don't want to dignify it by saying more!

| Re: PINK FLOYD'S MUSIC: SOUNDTRACK TO HISTORY (Part 4): "The Division Bell" and Jesus Tempted by Satan No, it wasn't an anonymous poster--but no need to embarrass the person, since it wasn't one of the forum "regulars"!

| Re: PINK FLOYD'S MUSIC: SOUNDTRACK TO HISTORY (Part 4): "The Division Bell" and Jesus Tempted by Satan Whew! For a minute there I thought I was the culprit. I mean, I know I am sometimes provocative, but I do try to be as polite about it as possible. ![]()
