best floyd dvd

I want to get a pink floyd dvd, but I'm not sure which one I should get. What do you think is the best one out right now?

As far as I know, there are only 2 Floyd dvds released commercially. That would be "Live in Pompeii" (very excellent) and that VH1 special about DSotM. PULSE should be coming out soon on dvd, and rumors say one of The Wall shows will too (which is a load of shite...I've seen it, and there's no way it could be polished up enough for a commercial release).

I would recommend Pompeii, and then looking around online to download either the Earls Court Wall Live show, or the KQED show. DON'T buy either of those last two off of ebay...it's illegal.

Also both Roger Waters Live and David Gilmour are worth the money. I prefer Roger, but that is just me.

For early-Floyd concert footage go Pompeii.

For prime-time Floyd snippet's and interviews with geezer bandmates, go DSotM

I like Pompeii better, I can watch it more because the DSotM DVD is really just info. Once you've watched it once it's like "oh so that's how they recorded On the Run." then it collects dust.

I watch the dsotm dvd all the time just to laugh at alan parsons and his shirt. As a matter of fact I'm laughing right now just thinking about it.

yea also nobody mentioned the wall. Its not a concert but it is a floyd dvd. I'd rather watch the wall than pompei but thats just me.

That's true...how did I forget The Wall movie? It's quite good...but very different from a concert film. If you enjoy The Wall as much as I do, then I'm sure you'd love it.
