Hilary Duff

I was listening to her new, self-titled album today and I had a moment when I said, 'This is really great.' I can't say she's a great songwriter ('cause she doesn't write music) but she's a pleasant singer and she sings the songs she's given very well. She makes them her own, like.

i don't like her. besides she was pretty lame in one of those Caspers movies.
as a singer i prefer Joss Stone. now that's VOICE.

Hilary Duff is a little chunky.

she doesn't have a good voice, can't play an instrument, and doesn't write her own music. they use computers to make her sound better. some songs can be catchy. but i would never consider her a musician, good looks have nothing to do with music.

But she feels the music. The performance is done with heart and credibility. I don't think she'd keep on making records and playing live if she didn't like to do it. And I happen to think she sings decently.

I really hate those "Truth" commercials

Music has changed. Back in the day, it was the music, not the person singing. I mean, look at Roger W., he had looks to stop a bus, but still was in one of the most succeessful bands ever. Even better look at the Residents, you don't even know who is in it..

It seems all you need now days is good looks.

Or a wallet leaking of hundreds...
