Are there any others out there who are just fans of Syd Barrett and Barrett(w/Flyod) and not fans of post-Syd albums?
Am I alone?

That is my favorite era. I think Syd is a genious. I am a serious collector of anything Syd or anything Pink Floyd live in 67.

i love syd. but i still don't have any of his solo albums. guess i don't love him enough. those japanese ones seem worth it though with all those extra tracks. does anyone know what the best syd era RoIO's are? also does anyone know if the peel sessions is a good cd.

I like Syd's music (Early PF). Don't have any of his solo albums. But I also like the After Syd Floyd

'The Madcap Laughs' is a brilliant album. Terrapin is probably his finest moment, but Octopus, Wouldn't You Miss Me, Golden Hair and Long Gone are also amazing tracks. This album is significantly different from Piper, taking on a more romantic approach to the songs rather than a fantasy/stockbook approach.

well...I must tell the truth...
I was kinda Syd's fan, I have almost all his solo stuff and I liked the first album more than others. But as time went by, I now cannot say that I don't like other PF stuff or like it less than Syd's.
I still Syd's fan, love to listen to his songs, but not as much as I was before. Prolly I just have grown up...

i was wondering if anyone knew if the japanese versions of the barrett albums are good to buy. i know they have the outtakes and stuff but is it worth it?

syd is genius for sure... "madcat laughs" is my album as well... dark globe is eerily moving.

some great writing on the album... you can almost see ol' syd going crazy... good times
