I just realized that I picked up Hope of the State's debut album, "The Lost Riots." I didn't realize it was an '04 release until just a little while ago. It's quite good.

Yup, American Idiot is the best album I've heard in a long long time and is by far my favorite of the year.

Honorable mention: Contraband-Velvet Revolver and Rush-Rush in Rio Live

Sydney...keep up the good fight!
Dude, I'll wave the HTDAAB flag high. I agree that Vertigo isn't the best song on that album, I really like Love and Peace or Else, that's my fave. Though, Vertigo is an awesome song. I don't see why people have such a huge problem with it.

cheers

Yes I agree entirely. I dig "Love and Peace or Else" a lot too. I think the problem with some people and "Vertigo" is that it has been played a lot, getting burned out on it. That's why I avoided seeing any of the iPod commercials, and kept the radio off.

Actually it's quite good. Have you listened to the whole album, Lars?
