I mean.. we could have said the same thing when people like Carey Grant started getting old.. oh man.. there won't be any good actors around.. but then we got Jack Nicholson and Al Pacino. They were considered average when they started out.. and look at them now

And since when is Chevy Chase a good actor?
What really sucks is that Tom Hanks is starting to get old. I know he's nowhere near dying or anything but he's definitely not a young man anymore. There will always be good actors around though.

Actually, that's just not true.
Jack Nicholson's first important role, on Easy Rider, was an impressive performance and he was 32. He did Five Easy Pieces at 33 and Chinatown at 37. He won his first Oscar at 38 with (guess the movie here).

Al Pacino played Michael Corleone at 32 (bingo) and Serpico at 33 and nobody thought he was "average", for sure.

De Niro first important movie was at 31 (The Godfather part II) and at 32 (again...) he did Taxi Driver. Again, he was nothing less than amazing.

When you're thirty-something it's time to tell the world who you are, apparently, and it seems there aren't many actors playing in that league, yet, right now.
